Jordanian women in STEM

In the summer of 2014, two teammates and I headed to Amman, Jordan to research why Jordanian women enter STEM–science, technology, engineering and math–fields at double the rate of American women. We were funded by the Center for Global Initiatives interdisciplinary Vimy research grant.

We spent five weeks in Amman interviewing engineering students and faculty at the Jordanian University, professional engineers and NGO representatives. As the team’s documentation and engagement coordinator, I ran our Facebook page as well as our website and travel blog.
